Privacy Policy

How this website collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information when you send an enquiry, request a quote, ask about a consultation or simply read a page. Written in plain language and aligned with the Australian Privacy Principles.
01 / SCOPE

What this policy covers

This policy applies to the website bathroomrenovationmalvern.com.au and to the personal information handled through it — principally the details you choose to give us when enquiring about a bathroom, ensuite, shower or laundry renovation.

It is written to sit alongside the APPs in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), which set out 13 principles covering collection, use, disclosure, quality, security and access. Where a detail depends on the operator’s own contact information, this policy uses a clearly marked placeholder rather than an invented address.

Reading a page, browsing the services list, the service areas or the bathroom guides does not require you to identify yourself. You only provide personal information when you deliberately submit the enquiry form or contact us directly.

Privacy enquiries
Use our contact form and state that your enquiry concerns privacy.

02 / COLLECTION

Information we collect

Through the enquiry form

The native enquiry form on the contact page asks for: Name, Email, Phone, Suburb, Renovation type, Budget, Timeframe and Project details. Nothing else is collected by the form, and there is no file upload field or online calendar booking on this site.

Submissions are stored privately inside this WordPress installation on its hosting account. They are not pushed into an external marketing platform, mailing list or advertising audience, and no payment details are requested or processed anywhere on this website.

By phone, email or during a site visit

If you call or email, we may note the same kinds of details — your name, contact details, property suburb, what the wet area involves and when you would like work considered — so a quote or consultation can be prepared. If a site assessment goes ahead, notes and measurements about the room may be recorded.

Photographs of your bathroom

The website form does not accept photo uploads. If you choose to send photographs of an existing bathroom, ensuite or laundry by email or message, or if photographs are taken during a site assessment, they are kept with your enquiry record and used for one purpose: understanding the scope so it can be measured, specified and priced.

Project photographs are not published on this website, shared with third parties for marketing, or used as portfolio material unless you give separate, specific permission in writing. Images shown elsewhere on this site are licensed stock photographs used to illustrate materials and finishes; they are not presented as records of your property.

Automatically, as you browse

Standard web technical information may be recorded by the hosting server and by website analytics: pages viewed, time on page, the referring link, approximate location derived from IP address, and device, browser and screen size. This is used in aggregate to see which guides and service pages are useful and where pages load slowly. It is not used to build a personal profile of you.

03 / PURPOSE

Why the information is collected

Four purposes, and no others without asking you first. Each one exists because a wet-area renovation has to be measured, specified, scheduled and built by real trades.
01

Answering your enquiry and quoting

To reply, ask follow-up questions about the room, and prepare a written scope and price where the project is one we are able to take on.

02

Scheduling assessments and consultations

To arrange a visit to your property and confirm access and timing against the stages set out in our renovation process.

03

Coordinating trades and suppliers

If you proceed, to organise the plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, tiling, cabinetry, stone and glass a bathroom needs.

04

Maintaining and improving the site

To review aggregate usage so pages load quickly and the guides answer the questions people actually arrive with.

04 / DISCLOSURE

Who your information may reach

Trades and suppliers. Where it is necessary to price or carry out your job, relevant details may be passed on — typically the property address or suburb, access arrangements, room measurements and the selections being priced. Only what a supplier or licensed trade needs is shared.

Service providers behind the site. The web hosting provider stores the website database, which includes enquiry records. If an email service is used to notify us of a submission, the message content passes through that provider.

Analytics and advertising tools. Where website analytics is enabled, usage data is processed by that provider. If advertising pixels are ever added to this site, they will be described in this section at the time they are used.

Legal requirements. Information may be disclosed where required or authorised by law.

WHAT WE DO NOT DO

  • Sell, rent or trade your personal information.
  • Add you to an external mailing list or automated marketing sequence because you sent an enquiry.
  • Take payments or store card details anywhere on this website.
  • Publish your photographs, address or project without separate written permission.
  • Use tracking to make automated decisions about you.

Cookies and analytics

WordPress sets functional cookies needed for the site to work, such as remembering a form state or an administrator session. Analytics cookies, where enabled, record anonymous usage patterns. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some conveniences may not.

05 / STORAGE

Storage, retention and security

Where it is kept. Enquiries submitted through this website are stored in the WordPress database on the site’s hosting account. Emails, phone notes, measurements and any photographs you send are kept in the business’s own email and file storage.

How long it is kept. Enquiry records are retained while they remain relevant — while a quote is being prepared or considered, and afterwards where records may be needed for warranty, defect, insurance, tax or other legal obligations relating to completed work. Enquiries that do not proceed are removed periodically, and you can ask for yours to be deleted sooner.

How it is protected. Reasonable steps are taken to protect information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access: restricted administrator accounts, secure passwords, an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and maintained software. No website or email system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive material such as identity or financial documents through the form.

Overseas storage. Hosting, email and analytics providers may store or process data on servers located outside Australia. Where that is the case, the information involved is limited to the enquiry and usage details described above.

06 / YOUR CONTROL

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask what personal information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected if it is wrong or out of date, or ask for it to be deleted where there is no ongoing legal or contractual reason to keep it.

Send the request through the contact page . So the right record is found, include the name, email address or phone number used when you first made contact. Identity may need to be confirmed before information is released. If a request is refused, you will be told why and what options you have.

To stop receiving follow-up contact about a quote, simply reply and say so, and the enquiry will be closed.

Making a privacy complaint

If you believe personal information has been mishandled, raise it directly first. Set out what happened, when, and the outcome you are seeking, and send it to our contact form. Complaints are investigated and answered in writing.

If you are not satisfied with the response, you can escalate the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, the independent regulator for the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), using the contact channels published on its own website.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the website changes — for example if analytics, advertising tools or new form fields are added. The current version always appears on this page with its review date, and continued use of the site means the updated policy applies. It should be read together with the website terms of use.

07 / NEXT ACTION

Comfortable with the detail? Send the brief.

The enquiry form asks only what is needed to understand a wet area: name, email, phone, suburb, renovation type, budget range, timeframe and project details. Submissions stay inside this website’s own installation.
