BEHIND THE FORM — WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR DETAILS
I’m Ivan Bodnar, an independent renovation specialist working as a sole trader in Melbourne. When you send me an enquiry through this website, you’re trusting me with your contact details and a bit about your home. This page explains, in plain English, what I collect, why I collect it and what I do with it.
AT A GLANCE
✓ Apart from basic technical information the website records to keep the form secure and working, I only collect what you type into the enquiry form.
✓ I use your enquiry details only to respond to your enquiry.
✓ Enquiries are stored privately within this website.
✓ Your details aren’t sent automatically to marketing services.
✓ Nothing is sold, paid for or booked on this website.
✓ You can ask me to correct or delete your details at any time.
1
WHAT I COLLECT
When you use the Request a Quote form, I receive the details you enter. Your name, email address and message are required. Your phone number, location or postcode, subject, budget and timeframe are optional.
Like most websites, this site may also record basic technical information to keep the form secure and working, such as your IP address, the time you submit and essential cookies. It isn’t used to build a profile of you.
Please don’t include anything you’d rather not share. A short description of your bathroom and where you are is plenty for a first conversation. If you contact me by phone or email instead, I’ll only keep what’s needed to follow up your enquiry.
2
WHY I USE IT
Your details let me get back to you, talk through your bathroom and, where it makes sense, arrange an on-site assessment so any quotation reflects the real condition of the room. Your location helps me work out whether the job falls within the area I cover.
I use enquiry details only to respond to your enquiry. Submitting the form doesn’t create a booking or any obligation for you. It simply starts a conversation.
3
WHERE IT’S KEPT
Form enquiries are stored privately within this website’s own system. They aren’t passed automatically to external marketing tools, and no payment details are collected, because nothing is paid for online.
Some renovations include plumbing, electrical or other regulated work, which is completed by appropriately licensed specialists. If your project reaches that stage, I’ll talk with you before passing on any details they need for their part of the work.
4
YOUR CHOICES
You can ask me what details I hold about you, ask me to correct anything that’s wrong, or ask me to delete your enquiry if you no longer want me to keep it. I’ll delete it when you ask. The simplest way is to send a note through the contact form, email [email protected] or call 0413 142 055.
If you have a concern about how your details have been handled, tell me the same way and I’ll look into it with you. If you’re still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Use of this website is also covered by the Website Terms of Use, which explain how the general information on these pages should be read.
