Bathroom Renovation Service Areas

STONNINGTON  ·  BOROONDARA  ·  GLEN EIRA
A ruled coverage list for Malvern and the surrounding inner east. Each entry below records the suburb, its approximate distance from our Malvern base, the housing stock we most often work in, and the bathroom types typically renovated there — then links to the suburb page.
01 / COVERAGE

A deliberately small radius

We renovate bathrooms across the City of Stonnington and the adjoining edges of Boroondara and Glen Eira. That is a compact catchment by design. Wet-area work depends on daily supervision — waterproofing inspected before tiling starts, screen measures taken on site, tapography and fall checked before the screed sets — and a short drive between jobs is what makes that supervision realistic rather than aspirational.
The suburbs listed in the ledger below each have their own page because the building stock genuinely differs. An Armadale terrace with a lean-to bathroom, a South Yarra apartment with a slab floor and a body-corporate schedule, and a Glen Iris post-war family home with a separate toilet are three different jobs with three different constraints. Rather than repeat one page ten times, each suburb entry describes what changes: access, structure, drainage, and the bathroom types most often specified there.
If you want to see scope before location, start with the full service list or the projects and design reference index.

03 / ON REQUEST

Nearby areas covered on request

These suburbs sit inside comfortable travel range but do not have their own page, because the work in them is close enough to the entries above that a separate page would only repeat information. Enquiries from these areas are assessed individually against our current schedule and site access.
Hawthorn East  ·  Camberwell  ·  Ashburton  ·  Kew
Windsor  ·  St Kilda East  ·  Balaclava  ·  Elsternwick
Caulfield East  ·  Caulfield South  ·  Murrumbeena  ·  Hughesdale
Ormond  ·  Ashwood  ·  Surrey Hills
Outside this list, distance starts to affect how often a supervisor can be on site during rough-in, waterproofing and tiling — so we would rather say no than stretch. If you are just past the edge, send the address and scope and we will tell you plainly whether it works.
04 / SITE ACCESS

Travel, parking and inner-east access

Inner-east streets are narrow, many are permit-zoned, and a large share of homes here have a single side path barely wider than a wheelbarrow. That affects the practical part of a renovation more than most people expect: how demolition waste leaves the house, where a skip or bulk bag can legally sit, whether a stone top can be carried in one piece or has to be cut, and how long a delivery vehicle can hold a lane.
We raise all of it at the site assessment stage rather than on day one of demolition. Where a council permit is needed for a skip or a loading zone, that is identified early and factored into the program.

Apartments and body corporate

In South Yarra, Prahran and parts of Caulfield North, apartment work usually means approved working hours, lift protection, and notice to the owners corporation before demolition. Slab construction also changes drainage options — floor waste positions and hobless shower falls have to be resolved on paper before anything is ordered.

Period homes

Terraces and Edwardian homes in Armadale, Malvern and Kooyong often reveal timber floors with uneven fall, old copper or galvanised pipework, and previous wet-area patches. Those discoveries belong in the assessment, not in a variation halfway through. Read how each stage runs on the renovation process page, or plan ahead with the renovation checklist.
05 / NEXT ACTION

Start with the suburb, then the scope

Once you know which suburb page applies, the next decision is scope. Most enquiries land on a full bathroom renovation, an ensuite renovation, a small bathroom rebuild or a targeted shower renovation. Detail work — tiling, waterproofing, vanity installation and walk-in showers — is documented separately.
For design direction before you commit to a layout, see bathroom design, the project and design reference index, or the bathroom guides — including what drives cost in Malvern and layout planning. Common questions are answered on the FAQ page.
